-My story i have been writing most of the week-

My story:

I woke up to screaming in the lounge. I sigh thinking my younger sisters are just playing with their toys but then i heard tiny cry's. I got up and ran to the lounge. I saw both of my sisters curled up into balls. I lightly tap on them both ‘Where's phoenix?’ I ask. They both pointed at the fireplace. I look at the fireplace thinking ‘didn't mom light the fire before i went to sleep?’ ‘I-in there’ they both say i laughed thinking it was a joke ‘don't be silly!’ I start to walk to the fireplace. I crouch and slowly go into the fireplace.

I look up. All I could see was the black sky and the shiny stars. ‘See? She's not there. Now tell me where she really is’ lily opens her mouth but nothing comes out. I look at ruby and she says ‘S-something took her and now she's gone..’ I looked at her thinking she was imagining things so I asked her ‘what took her? Do you know what I did?’ she looked at me with frightened eyes ‘N-no all we saw was a black hand reach for her’ I started to think ‘Oh.. mom told me a story about this before this is not good..’ I look at them both ‘look i will be back.. Okay?’ ‘okay they both say’ i start to walk to mom's room ‘M-mom phoenix was taking apparently. 

And ruby said she only saw black hands reaching for her then she was gone.. Do you know what’s going on..?’ She quickly gets up ‘lock the doors now!’ ‘Why..?’ i ask ‘Just do it!!’ she yells. I ran to the front door with the keys and I quickly locked the door and the door to the fireplace ‘Done..’ I say. She points at the door ‘go and check on your sisters’ I run back to the living room I hear a high pitched scream and I saw Ruby fly across the room it all happened too fast so i had no idea what took her. Lily started sobbing as I had to board up the windows ‘OW!’ I yell as I hardly hit my finger with the hammer. I carry on in huge pain. I see lily run through the door to the hallway ‘LILY COME BACK!!’ I yell over the top of my lungs. 

She comes back with a roll of bandage ‘lily.. You don't have to..’ she drops it on the ground ‘HEY!!’ i yell. She looks up at me in anger ‘ Im not-scared-anymore…’ he j-just wants to play I scream as i see her pick up a pair of scissors I fall to the ground as everything goes pitch black. I wake up ‘ow’ i say as i feel hitting my head on something. I hear a loud pitched scream then i started crawling out into the light I look at what i was under ‘ are you kidding me somebody put me under the bed!?’ I look at my hand it was wrapped up in band aid. I touch my chest ‘OW’ i yell in pain ‘Wait that feels like that was wrapped up in band aid too. I start to walk into a hallway that i have never walked in before somebody comes out of a room. ‘ oh! Your awake! ‘ the prison says ‘who are you?’ i say in a frightened voice. ‘I will tell you later’ she says ‘for now you need to stay with me.’ she says sadly ‘B-but my sisters’ ‘Im sorry but you need to.’

Passion project UwU

Healthy streams

Homai te Waiora Ki Ahau the meaning of this is. In Maori it means
‘give me the water of life’ In our rivers 80% of our rivers are fair or poor quality. Rivers are the life blood of our land, plants, animals, native forests, farmers, that drink or work with it. The rivers bring the people and land back together for enjoyment. This is why its important to look after our streams and rivers.

.Fill the bowl.

At the bright and shiny Cort I heard kids names being called out. Then i heard my name i ran behind a bowl. Looking at the yellow shimmering water in the bucket I heard the teacher Yelled “GO!” I ran to the yellow water with the cup in my mouth and scooped the yellow water into my cup. Running i could hear yelling and cheering and also the teacher yelling. Kids were throwing water at one another and the water was going everywhere. Back and forth the kids ran to the yellow bucket and back to the bowls. I could taste the warm yellow water it tasted like water but warmer and a bit weird As i started running with the cup in my mouth back to my bowl, then i heard my cup crack. But nothing happened which was good, then i heard the teacher yell “Stop!” then i slowly walked back to my bowl. I thought to myself “i wonder who won?” As I ran to the bin to put my cup in there. After i slowly walked bench i sat on.

Get creative.

I have been doing get creative all week and this is what i have done. this is a drawing of some bunny's  hanging out.

My setting Description

As I sat quietly under the tree. The trees were rattling in the wind, The cold and fresh wind blew against my hair.  Looking at the field I could see birds and yellow leaves moving around. Hearing the chirps of birds, I settled down on my seat.  As I looked up at the dark grey clouds I felt a raindrop on my head. As I used my hands to wipe the rain drop off my head I could hear kids screaming in the gym, I looked around and saw the shiny green grass. As I looked at the yellow and brown leaves on the tree, it looked like it was waving at me in the wind.

My story UwU

The Curious cat ran through the hallway to see what the sound was. As midnight peered through the door the sun shone her smooth and fluffy black fur. She slowly walked into the room. As she looked up on the bed her owner sat there trying to grab the book on the floor. Her owner was lazy to get up and get it. Midnight jumped onto the bed and slowly wagged her tail side to side. ‘Ok ok midnight I will get you some food.’  As her owner jumped off the bed and grabbed the book and through it on the bed. She slowly disappeared into the hallway. Midnight jumped off the bed and looked out the window wondering if she could go outside. She teleported outside and looked around wondering how she did it. She quickly teleported back inside when she smelt her food she ran through the hallway and started to eat her food. When she was done she went through the cat door and ran along the foot-path. Her white ears turned backwards as she heard something. Then looked around but saw nothing so she started walking again and in a second she felt pain and everything went black. When she slowly woke up she was surrounded by vets who were stitching her up for some reason she saw herself in the mirror and she freaked out a white star around her eye with stitches, as she was listening to the vet in the other room she heard her saying. ‘I'm sorry, miss. But i don't know why she got the star patch. It looked like she was hit by something like a bike.’ and soon after everything went black again she woke up in her warm bed and she felt warm and happy. After a few months she had her stitches taken out but she still had that patch around her eye. And sadly that was the last time her owner let her outside.

Soft toy bunny review.

Hi my name is Nikita i go to otaki college today im gonna review a soft toy bunny i brought the other day. ‘This is the best thing I ever seen!,’ Yeah, but not the best quality. I have seen tons of kids with this soft bunny without a problem. 

 I had quite a few problems with mine, When I brought my soft toy bunny home i was excited about it. When i was writing at school one day it fell off my desk and I saw a hole under its ear I only just got it the day before!! As i was walking to the car once one of the eyes from the bunny randomly fell out. I think before they sell them, double check if holes or parts that are not on properly. 

 The soft toy i rate it 2 to 5. I do like it but the problems i had with it I was not happy about. I was hoping that it will be better then what i had to deal with.

.Stoping lettering. - Nikita

Should we stop lettering yes. Because it could get into the sea and kill sea life. Hi my name is Nikita. I am 11 years old. I come from otaki. Stop lettering is important to me because I worry about sea life and what will happen in the future. 

I think we should stop lettering and put rubbish in the bin and also put rubbish in the bin when we see rubbish.

If we don't do these things this might happen in the future, The sea and the land will become a huge mess and both animals from land and water will die from trying to eat the rubbish. 

This might happen in the future, The earth will become a bad place, animals from both water and land might become extinct from eating rubbish.

I really do think we should stop dumping rubbish everywhere and put stuff in bins.

Hello Jacinda Ardern, My name is Nikita, I'm 11 years old. I'm writing this because I want to recognise you and thank you for your hard work in covid 19.

I want to recognise were very tough during covid 19 and kind to others. I also want to recognise you were open to all questions and helping others during covid 19.

You were a very positive leader, kind you knew what to do, and an awesome leader.

I really want to thank you for being nice, positive prison, brave, saving peoples lives and making really hard choices but made the right ones.

I hope the rest of your week goes well.

1. slow motion camera that went around the table to film the marble being droped in he used highly coloured paint in class cup he then droped a marble in.

2. we did not have much paint at home so we mixed it with water slow motion camera on my ipad and we had marbles and a stone.

3. we would use a watered down paint, slow motion camera on my ipad, clear plastic container a marble and a stone.

4. we set it outside on our table put watered down coloured paint in the containers we then droped the marble/stone and filmed it in slow motion on my ipad we could not film 360 we could only film from one spot.

Poppy's and anzac biscuits

Poppy’s and anzac biscuits

I made some anzac biscuits with my mum becuase we were both bored. We both were getting ready for making the cookies we started baking after a few minutes of gettings things soon we started after a phew minutes of mixing and adding we where done so we starting rolling the doah into balls and put them on the tray. We had around about 14 or 13 cookies then we put them in the oven after 5 minutes. We missed it up a little so we pushed them down a bit more then after another 5 minutes we pulled them out and waited to cool down but i was really hungry and wanted to try them so i sneaked past mom and grabed one. After a few minutes she told me and my sister to grab a cookie then i showed i already had one. I thought it was funny. The next day my mom found some poppys on the web and printed them out. But i found a poppy and trassed over it and wrote on the top what they did for us and put them on my window. It looked preety cool i liked my poppys on my window. 

Anzac cookies

I made some cookies with my mom i really had fun making them because i reamber all the people that saved our lives in war they tasted hard on the ends of the cookie around about in the middle it was soft and chewy hope we make more soon.

Easter hunt in lock down

Easter hunt

I woke up and then I said good morning to my parents. After i had my breakfast my mum and dad said “ do you want to see if the Easter bunny came? ” me and my sister nodded and ran outside. We both went to the end of the fence and found a big chocolate bunny. We both ran back inside the house and put our bunnies on the table. Then we ran back out. We both found a pack of bunny marshmallows in a plant next to our trampoline. We both got excited and ran and put our marshmallows on the table. We then ran outside and we both switched sides of the house. After five minutes I saw a pink chocolate rabbit on the sides of the shed. and my sister struggled finding her last one so I tried to help her and she found hers. After I ate my pink rabbit, I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the Easter hunt.

Otaki cool places!!

-Swimming Sports-

I heard screaming and whistling of kids and gunshots telling the kids to start the race. I

sat on the grassy hill reading my book but i was not watching i was reading my book

because i was excited to finish it. I saw all the colour teams tents it barely covered all

of the kids. I hated the smell of the horrible yucky chlorine. I got used to the smell so I

carried on reading. After half an hour of reading I got bored and tired. As I was putting

my book away I heard I load a gunshot that made me jump. I watched as the kids were

swimming super fast to the person on the other side of the pool. I could not believe how

fast they were going, after that race. Some kids had to make the biggest splash. The last kid I was watching and wondered what would happen. He jumped in and made a big splash. It was the size of the pool roof. I was so amazed I liked watching some of the races.
